In an initiative to bolster campus safety, Louisiana's Iberville Parish School District is taking a significant technological leap. The district has decided to integrate ZeroEyes, an artificial intelligence (AI) gun detection software, into its existing school camera systems.
Superintendent Louis Voiron emphasized the challenge of monitoring their extensive network of 800 cameras. The adoption of ZeroEyes AI technology aims to address this by enabling real-time detection of potential threats, significantly enhancing surveillance capabilities.

ZeroEyes, founded by former military and law enforcement personnel, uses advanced AI algorithms to identify potential gun threats captured by school cameras. If a possible gun is spotted, the system sends an image to the company's analysis team for verification and, if necessary, immediate action.
This innovative approach to school safety has gained traction in over 100 schools across 35 states. In scenarios like a child with a realistic-looking toy gun, the system also helps in identifying and addressing false alarms efficiently.
